This is a presentation on the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) hosted by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. This free, virtual compliance training is designed for businesses/contractors who are interested in knowing more about the requirements of the SCA.
The U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division enforces several federal labor laws, including the McNamara O’Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). In this presentation, representatives from the Wage and Hour Division will go over the requirements of the Service Contract Act, including payment of prevailing wages, fringe benefits, and recordkeeping requirements. We’ll also discuss common violations found in a compliance investigation, such as failure to pay the prevailing wage rate and employee misclassification.
