M&T Bank Minority and Women Emerging Entrepreneurs Program – (MWEE)

September 6 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

Free

Creating opportunities for individuals leading minority- and women-owned enterprises into advanced stages of development.

The M&T Bank Minority and Women Emerging Entrepreneurs (MWEE) program is presented by the UB School of Management’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. The MWEE program is partially funded with a generous grant from M&T Bank.

The MWEE program will help you move your company to the next stage of development. You will work with a mentor, attend biweekly business development seminars and networking events, and complete a revised or newly developed business plan.

You should apply to the MWEE program if you:

  • Are the owner of an emerging business with annual revenue below $300,000
  • Wish to formulate clear objectives and outcomes to guide the development of your business plan
  • Strive to learn about and connect with organizations and resources – public and private – that can assist with the development of your business.

To apply, you must be either a woman or a member of a recognized minority and own a business in the Buffalo-Niagara region.

Application Process

As of August 1, 2023 the class beginning in September is filled.

The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership is accepting applications for the MWEE cohort at Beverly Gray through Sept. 30. Classes will be held Tuesday evenings from 5:30-8:30 p.m., beginning in January.
