Details: Alzheimer’s is a global health problem with more than 7 million people living with the disease in the U.S. alone. Tremendous gains have been made in the understanding of the science and basic biology underlying Alzheimer’s and other dementias. These advances are leading to great strides in strategies for prevention, detection, diagnostics, and therapeutic interventions. As a global leader in research, mobilizing the field to advance the vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia, the Alzheimer’s Association seeks to support researchers and emerging researchers in pursuing their work.

During this program, we will share:

  • Alzheimer’s Association mission and priorities
  • An overview of Alzheimer’s Association research grant programs, funding cycles and areas of therapeutic interest

Target audience: Early Career and New to Field Researchers; Students, both undergraduate and graduate; Early postdocs; Postdocs; Instructor Level Researchers; Individuals that have not published or been funded in Alzheimer’s or any neurodegenerative disease; Newly independent investigators (ie. Assistant Professor and above at their institution); Individuals with clinical service (MD, DO, Ph.D. -with clinical licensure)
